2025 26 Curricular Changes

Required

  • Add language to Catalog for Music Ed stating that Instrumental Majors must also take Vocal Minor; Vocal Majors must also take Instrumental Minor (current wording stating that music majors may not declare a music minor could be problematic per R&R)

  • Instrumental Music Ed Ensembles are semesters, not credits.

  • The Instrumental Music Education minor does not count the same courses toward the ensemble requirement as the Vocal Music Ed major does.

  • Remove MUSC 162 and 163 from the Vocal Ed Minor and replace with MUSC 349

  • Remove Prereq of 250 for 352
